Some nights I look at Him and tell this.

Why I don't listen to secular songs anymore.

A lot of times I get quizzed by people I know on why I don't listen to secular songs and why I don't indulge in watching secular shows and movies and for long I wished to provide a decent answer to it. This is it! I praise God for helping me share my thoughts.  P.S- The video has many glitches; all my efforts to rectify it were in vain. Kindly bear with it and please make use of your headphone while you listen, since the volume of the video is terribly low. In His Time

Image
Yesterday I happened to send a Bible verse, which I found on Youtube post, to my sister and that's the reason I'm writing this post today. This is what happened:       My sister was unable to sleep last night and so she got up to pray. She sat on her bed and started talking with Jesus. She told him how she felt about certain things in life; things Jesus had promised to give her a breakthrough, and how she felt when nothing of that sort was happening. After a few moments, she felt like praying for a friend who was facing troubles in marital life and was at the end of the rope; totally shattered not able to pray. This burdened her a lot and she looked at Jesus and said, "In all my life, at some point in time, at least for once I would've obeyed You and walked according to how You had directed me. For the sake of that act of obedience please grant me an answer for this prayer" She felt the Lord smile at her child-like request and God put an answer in her heart. Sh...

Poem- 'Where I Am is Not Where I Planned to Be'

Image
Where I Am is Not Where I Planned to Be Where I am is not where I planned to be, You O  Lord are leading me to mysteries. Uncertainty resounding around me, I wish for clarity. I’m weak, I’m worn, and I’m broken; You make me sing  Hallelujahs In the middle of the raging storm. As I say I’m tired of holding on, I see Your warm words wrap my cold heart. You are teaching me to wait on You, Stirring me to pursue You, You are making me a warrior I never thought I’d be. All I hear now is only a discordant clatter And the world screaming, “Give up, your faith doesn’t matter” But deep within I hear you whisper, “Dear child, I’m orchestrating a symphony,   Won’t you just trust in Me?” Listen: Gold is sent through the furnace to be refined; You are travailing on this path to be defined. Everything around you might inflict a scar as you walk along it might seem bizarre;   Worry not, the scars will finally heave into view The gre...

His Plan

Image
Sometimes in our lives, everything God has done becomes insufficient when we spend our mind in worrying about the future. This is the weapon that Satan uses to blind our eyes from seeing the perfect plan of God. He takes advantage of our weak impatient  faith to make us forget all that the good Lord had done and has promised to do. Of late, I realized that I had become a prey to Satan's weapon; God graciously opened my eyes to His plan and made me understand what a big liar Satan is. I thanked God for showing me the truth and  penned down these lines. I pray that God speaks to you through this. God bless you 😇 Add caption

Do you doubt the existence of God?

Image
God Exists!   I pity people who say God doesn’t exist. They say believing the unseen God is irrational yet they believe that gravity holds them and the breath in their nostril sustains them. They all are unwilling to open their eyes, but will that in any way question God’s existence? If a cat chooses to close its eyes, does the world become dark?      When they claim to be intelligent I wonder, have they ever thought about the mind behind the tremendous process involved in the growth of a fetus- knitted nerve by nerve, have they ever been able to think who painted the wings of the butterflies? Or where the flowers got their fragrance from? They hadn’t just paused to look at themselves; can they find another person like them? What more, they failed to observe the universe: the stars, the planets- How can they think no one orchestrated them? Do they hang in the sky, coasting in their orbit all by themselves? I feel sorry; because I have little faith unl...

How to find joy in this wretched world?

Image
Philippians 4:4 , " Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!"               The most common misconception among nominal Christians and unbelievers is that once you accept Jesus and become a Christian, Boom! All your sorrows are gone. Of course, the Christian God, Jesus, promises a life of joy and peace beyond understanding, but it doesn’t mean that there won’t be any prospect for trouble or sorrow. To clearly understand this, the Bible says, “In this world, you will have trouble” (John 16:33) and also “take up your (his) cross and follow me” (Matt 16:24), “bear my yoke” (Matt 11:30), “…not only believe on Him, but also to suffer for Him” (Phil 1:29). This is not to scare you away, But to help you truly understand the kind of joy Christ gives amidst facing struggle, pain, sickness, and suffering.               At the onset of the Christian life, it mig...
